Who can I bring with me?
This course is intended for you to bring at least 1 support person. We welcome you to attend with up to 2 birthing supporters. These could be: a spouse, a relative, a friend, a Doula, essentially anyone who you trust and want to be by your side through your childbirth journey.
What does this course actually entail?
This is a 4 hour course, the first half will look at the physiology of birth, and explore the role our emotions have on our physical bodies. In the 2nd half will be more practical, learning and understanding the 4 tools of the Birth without Fear method.
What do we need to bring with us?
Just yourselves, we will provide refreshments.
Wear comfortable clothes, there are lots of practical elements of this course.
I am having a planned caesarean, is this course for us?
Absolutely, the tools of the course are designed to be used in any birth and any location.
I already have a child, is this course still relevant to me?
Definitely, as we know every pregnancy and birth experience is different.
Is there parking?
There is free parking at our Brighton & Hove location. It is also easily accessibly via public transport.
Our course will teach you the 4 key tools of the Birth without Fear method: Breathing, Relaxation, Voice, and the mind.
We will practice these together during the course so that you and your birth partner have all the resources you need to continue to practice them together in preparation for your birth; helping you prepare for a emotionally safe birth.
They can be used for any mode of birth, and even beyond into parenthood!
If you have any questions at all, please do get in touch with us using the form on the right and we will get back to you at the earliest opportunity.
(There is no such thing as a silly question!)
